So the tropical disturbance, I noticed yesterday evening, had lost much of the lightning it had. I don't recall anything in the forecast regarding hostile upper level winds. It wasn't supposed to collapse. So, what happened? We just cannot BUY a weak tropical storm these days, for beneficial rains. The Northeast is still hurting for widespread soaking rains and no sign of any disturbance in sight. Not to mention Texas, which DID get the benefits of the previous system, 98L. PTC 4 collapsed at the last minute and was a dud.
