Lee's center forecast to slide north of the islands, but heavy rain, dangerous surf, and life-threatening rip currents still pose a threat this weekend
So this is new information about the Atlantic high. Last night it was thought that high pressure ridge would possibly build to Lee's north, suppressing it a bit westward closer to the coast. That's how SOME models had it. Well, if this high is gonna weaken, instead of strengthen,, this is good news and only confirms what the models have been saying all along.....That it will recurve and stay out to sea. So, no threat to land. So it looks like no storm for the U.S. and that's great news. Florida is off the hook. With the high weakening, we can expect colder weather next week, and drier, in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic. Bye to summer weather.
