I wish Franklin had gone farther north in Texas as some people I know with a farm north of Houston have had no real rain since the middle of May and desperately need it.
At this point, there doesn't seem to b e a concern about the Yucatan. Weather there seems fine on satellite. If thunderstorms DO develop, it might be some sort of a general gyre of storminess, and then we would need to see if anything emerges from such a gyre. Time will tell. In the meantime, I would at least expect hot, humid, and increasing chance of showers and thunderstorms for the Yucatan, including Cancun and Cozumel. Anyone with vacation plans to go there, or anyone vacationing or living there now, always monitor the weather forecast. One way to do so is to check the Weather Channel website, put in Cancun as a search city and get the forecast.
