I am glad you like the info. Yess, at one point the GFS suggested South Florida could get hit, but that's no longer possible. I say the season is done, anyway.
That is always good to hear. I am right now enjoying watching the Thunderbirds rehearse for the air show this weekend. They fly over my house frequently every year they are here as I am only a mile from the airport. Love the show even if a bit deafening.
WOW, you get a FREE air show this week, and the actual air show both weekend days!! That sound is the sound of freedom!! I went to an air show at McDill Air Base one time in March on one Florida trip; it was dry and hot. It was 90 that day. I think the Thunderbirds performed then, as well. Air Show Season ends soon. I think it starts again in March. Not necessarily in YOUR area; McDill likely still does one in March. Air shows are all over the country during the season. I have watched a few on You Tube a few times whenever I run across one on live streams. Englands' RAF Red Arrows recently put on a nice, colorful show recently. I wonder if YOUR air show will be on You Tube? I would like to see it.
If you should attend the air show at the airport, being a set of ear plugs or noise cancellation ones if you have them. The jets of course are not like ordinary airliners.
I haven't actually gone to the show at the airport as it is hard for me to walk from the parking lot to where they have the stands. The first couple of years I just sat in my backyard and watched them fly overhead. It was fascinating to have a low flying fighter jet set off its afterburners right over my head. The last few years I sat in a patio chair on the side of a road just outside the airport and could heat the announcer quite clearly as well as watch the show. The Thunderbirds come to this one quite frequently. I'm going to try to record some of it at least on my phone this year.
If you have a YouTube account, perhaps you could even try to stream the airshow LIVE over the Web. Or, if you are on Fscebook, then Facebook Watch would be an option. At any rate, recording some of it on your phone would be nice. I like the idea of being JUST outside the airport. That way, you still hear the announcer, and basically get the whole FREE air show without having to spend a dime. Even without a narrator, just seeing it in your backyard is a treat!! Where WE are at my brother's house, if the Thunderbirds ever come HERE to Hancock Field in Syracuse again, I imagine they would fly over the area where my brothers' house is. That would be a treat!! However, the last air show we ever have had was in 2016. The record for a streak of NOT having air shows in Syracuse is currently 14. We are at 7 years and counting. There is no sign of any plans for another air show anytime soon. Needless to say, it is very disappointing. It is a bummer!! I do hope the show is streamed live this weekend in Punta Gorda on YouTube by an official channel so I can see it.
As usual this is an excellent analysis and summary.
He is a good meteorologist. He tells it like it is. He reminds me of mark Sudduth of Hurricanetrack.com.
Well that is a relief to hear for those of us in Florida. Thank you again Mr. Lowry for keeping us posted all season. Much appreciated.

Thank you. In addition to the immediate forecast, I’ve learned a lot about the whats and the whys behind the forecasts. It’s endlessly fascinating.
I think so too, Alyce!!
