We are SO glad to read your Eye on the Tropics! You enhance my understanding with every email I receive. We are indebted to you for our ability to find ways to be safe all through the hurricane season. THANK YOU for being here for us!

Absolutely LOVE your comments. Stay vigilant like always... especially here in West Central Florida. Helene & Milton once again taught valuable lessons yet again last season. My family are infuriated by the current administration & their blatant disregard of our working science institutions. Keep up your good work! Cheers.

I'm sorry for the Pacific for saying this but after last year praying for a strong El Nino. I wish DOGE would just fizzle out or everyone in it get caught in something like Helene. They are playing with our lives here on the gulf and eastern seaboard by interfering with NOAA and the NHC. Thanks for the update Mr. Lowry.

Laura, I know not everyone appreciates DOGE, but even I agree with you that they have no business touching NOAA and/or the NWS. We talked about this not too long ago. The good news is that the administration was forced to reinstate many forecasters because of a court order. I expect the court order will hold up to scrutiny, and that would be welcome news for the NWS. Now, just because DOGE is monkeying around with the NWS, I wouldn't wish anything on them, such as a hurricane. They made a mistake; they were ordered to correct the mistake. DOGE will officially fizzle out on July 4th next year.
