You could argue that Ian brought an early end to the rainy season. Once Ian was gone, much, much drier and cooler air came behind Ian, and that was the first real dry air mass of the season, at the end of September. It may be warmer and humid NOW due to easterly winds, but the dry air will be back sometime this weekend.
