He appears not to be a hypester, he's a more down-to-earth person; he tells it like it is. Other outlets such as West Palm Beach Patch want you to believe it might soon be a hurricane!! From what I see, this isn't gonna be a hurricane, nor is it gonna go to Florida or anywhere in the U.S. This is likely to be a rain maker for the Carribean and perhaps the Yucatan down the road. If it is gonna be a hurricane, it would need to stay away from this Florida jet stream and any dry air. Should it go right over Cuba, that will certainly kill the storm entirely.

If it (or its remnants) could stagger as far the Yucatan as a rainmaker, do you think it could meander into the BOC or the Gulf, and basically blossom out from there? Or is the environment too hostile?

If there is forecast to be light shear in the B.O.C. it has a chance to blossom. If it does not stall and goes past the B.O C. it then hits land and that's it.

You're welcome. I feel the U.S. will remain untouched by this tropical entity.

I’d just like to say, as a lifelong professional Mariner, that I never look forward to phrases like, “Hurricane Todd has moved harmlessly out to sea.” ;-)
